The EGGS contact database

The sole purpose of the database is to maintain and supplement the records from the 2000 reunion in order that future events can be organised more easily.

The database is a record of people that:

  • can be contacted
  • cannot be contacted
  • do not want to be contacted

For a full statement of purpose, security and opting out please visit this page

Please note: you should be able to find and edit your own record here; this is automatically enabled if your forum sign-up information was complete.  If you can’t find or edit your own record, then please let me know so that I can adjust the settings to enable this.

By accessing the database system you acknowledge your agreement  with the principles and terms of use set out below.

Principles and terms of use

1 - Contact details are not made available to others unless that person has specifically elected to allow that information to be made available. The option to do this can be set when editing your record. The only information displayed by default is: name, year, address status (e.g. unknown or current) and contact status (e.g. not found or contactable).

2 - The database is only available to registered members of eliotsgreen.com - it is not possible for non-registered members to gain access to the database system.

3 - Individual records can only be edited and updated by the eliotsgreen.com database administration team, or the person about whom the record relates, once they have registered and been positively verified.

4 - It is possible for new records to be entered by any member, however this information, once entered, is subject to rule 3.

5 - All contact information about an individual will be deleted upon the written request of that individual.

6 - The information in the database will only be used for the purpose of arranging reunion events.

7 - All use of the database is logged and changes made can be traced back to the originator. Any intentional mis-use or attempted tampering, impersonation or misappropriation of information will result in termination of the offender’s access privileges.

This database holds membership information for non-commercial domestic purposes and the Office of the Information Commissioner has confirmed that it is exempt from the provisions of the UK Data Protection Act 1998.

The database has nevertheless been designed to incorporate the Data Protection Principles set out in the Act.
